On August 7, 1906 the business leaders of Auburn gathered together and established the Auburn Chamber of Commerce whose purpose according to their charter was “to have a central body, always organized and ready to take up any proposition for the public good”. The founders of the Chamber were people who built or owned businesses and landmarks that are still very much a part of the community.
They were also visionaries who understood that in order to grow and prosper Auburn would need steady hands to guide it. By creating a Chamber of Commerce they provided those hands and then they rolled up their sleeves and put those hands to work. The accomplishments of the Chamber over the last 100 years are too numerous to mention here. Suffice it to say that over the years without the active participation of the Chamber Auburn would not be what it is today.
The Auburn Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization of over 750 businesses of all sizes. The Chamber supports, represents, promotes, and advocates for business before local government and regulatory agencies to protect the interests of all its members from the smallest to the largest.
Whatever your business objectives, the Chamber is here to be your partner and help you get to where you want to go. Whether it’s getting to know the community and them getting to know you, advertising opportunities to let folks know about your business or helping you make your business dream a reality with business development training, the Chamber is here to lend a hand and help you succeed.
But most importantly the Chamber is folks just like you who realize that on the road to success we all need help from time to time. No one person and no one thing can make it entirely on their own. But working together we can achieve great things.
So hitch up your wagon and bring your business to Auburn.
And let the Auburn Chamber of Commerce be your partner in success.
At the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, Our Business is Your Business!
