Sierra Gold Chorus, the Auburn Chapter of Sweet Adelines International, recently won an award at the Regional Contest in Reno, NV. Now, the award-winning chorus is inviting women of all ages to join them for a membership night on Monday, June 7, 2010. Teenagers, moms and grandmothers who can carry a tune and love to sing will enjoy singing a cappella and four-part harmony. The music and fun begins at 6:30 PM, at Burback Hall, De Witt Center, 11577 E Avenue, in Auburn. Participants may attend regular chorus rehearsals in preparation for the next performance, a Placer High School Fundraiser on Monday, July 12. Under the direction of Barb Tincher, the Auburn based chorus has a membership of over 35 women from Nevada City, Grass Valley, Roseville, Rocklin, Loomis, Newcastle, Granite Bay, Sacramento, Auburn, Forresthill, and Sparks and Reno Nevada! Sweet Adelines International is a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of Barbershop harmony through education and performance.
