No matter how you define recreation, Auburn has it. Extreme sports, endurance events, fishing, hunting, riding, walking, or just taking in the view – it’s all here, waiting for you. And a few minutes away, in any direction, adds even more.
Activities for families, for the beginner- athlete, for semi-professionals, for the pros, for nature lovers, for fans of riparian environments, birdwatchers, train buffs, sky-watchers, aviators, parade watchers, for those who just like to sit and watch – so take a few minutes and look over the options you have. We’ve captured just a few and have provided links to other sites with even more possibilities.

Equestrian Central
Auburn has been described as "esquestrian central" for the recreational and the competitive rider alike. "Horse friendly" trails abound with excellent staging areas virtually in town or close by. Riding along through areas with beautiful views, the rider can feel a sense of history unique to the area. Each year, hundreds of volunteers help stage the Tevis Cup ® and other local events. So whether you're a rider or supporter or a volunteer, come have fun!
