 Auburn, A Special Place Minimize

Auburn, nestled in the friendly Sierra Foothills, is indeed a special place.  Steeped in a historical heritage dating back to the Gold Rush days, our community is well into its second century of existence.  After gold, railroading brought residents, and two more waves followed the First and Secord World Wars.  Drawn by Auburn’s agriculture and its political and cultural life, people have since come here from all parts of the country.  All are welcome.

Tourists find Auburn appealing and attractive, visiting its historic Old Town and Downtown, bustling shopping areas, expansive parks, and serene recreation areas – all watched over by our majestic Placer Country Courthouse.

We extend a warm welcome to all who visit our foothill community.  You will soon discover that Auburn is a special place.
