The Auburn Winter Storytelling Fest is in its 5th year, celebrating the art of storytelling in an art gallery. The event offers several types of story, beginning with a family-friendly program of interactive Children's Stories at 10:30 a.m. Thereafter, the day is dedicated to adults who enjoy a good tale! For budding storytellers and experienced ones alike, Ruth Stotter offers a workshop at 1:00 p.m. titled, "Teller's Tools." At 2:45 p.m. is Open Telling, where anyone can sign up to take the stage for five minutes. And at 4:30 is the Liar's Contest, where contestants vie for the Golden Shovel Trophy! At 6:30 p.m., the Featured Tellers Showcase brings five regional tellers to the stage for an evening. The lineup includes Ruth Stotter, Tim Ereneta, Alicia Retes, Claudia Tonge, and fan favorite Tom Wade. This storytelling festival is FREE all day!
